Assuming we expect our spending power to increase for the next 210,000 blocks and beyond, in your opinion(not financial advice), how many years of present-day expenses does one need to retire?

Personally I felt comfortable at 4, but 6-8 is probably more reasonable. Since we plan on starting a business, my math was more centered around how fast can we replace one salary. If we do it in under two years we've won. But if it takes longer we have Bitcoin working for us.

My basic math was 50% CAGR base case and 250% CAGR over a 1 halving.

If you're not looking to replace a salary then the math is probably more like 8-12 years worth of Bitcoin. Hopefully you can't/dont spend it all in three halvings

(In no way financial advice 😎)

I think you're right, but I still want a bigger buffer because I've had 25x in my head forever. 50, like Morgen Rochard says is even better, but I consider this preparing for the worst case scenario.

from getting rich quick to not having to work to survive.... who said bitcoin ossified
