Hear me out, may we should not remove the like button, but instead, attach zaps to it. It's possible.
Using "wallet connect", we can set the amount of zap to attach to each like.
This way, every time we like a post, the recipient will receive a zap.
Technology already exist and not that difficult to integrate.
Amethyst has already done half of the work.

I don't agree with this, currently the option with zaps is likes is perfect. Having #onlyzaps is gonna be a barrier for newcomers, and if we want this protocol to be successful we don't want that.
I don't think we really disagree, like has its own importance, having a ability to attech certain amount of ZAP isn't bad in any way. You should be still able to like any user even user without wallet.

I would like to see more comments instead of likes. For me likes should not be removed because zaps are a better version of likes. Likes should be removed because they reduce meaningful interactions, being an empty action while giving a false sense of interaction.
