It is reality that those public facing companies have secret military and intelligence contracts to build advanced tech (satellites, spy equipment, rockets, AI) ultimately aimed at improving the efficiency of killing people.
I’d like to believe that Elon has more integrity and empathy for humans… but even if he does, all his tech could be subverted by governments for evil
so what do we do? fund technology that can be subverted or allow governments to fund it? maybe on a Bitcoin standard the funding from the government would dry up and the boards of directors and investors' vote would have a limiting effect on the abuse of tech?
