Tried out OxChat to avoid the DM reporter bot.

Seems like it’s working.

Also, there are some messages people sent me that I can only see there, and do not show up on Damus or Primal’s DM screens… 👀 even an important one from months ago

I think it has to do with relays.

Certain relays designed for private DMs.

Also clients. There are three different NIPS for DMs.

Yes.

Right now there is incompatibility, and a weak at best communication to customers regarding apps using different DM standards.

Making a #nostrability note to explore the latter.

Yes, these are gift-wrapped messages. Since Damus and Primal haven’t implemented them yet, you cannot see them in these apps. Though you will see them in #Amethyst. They will be marked with a little icon (guy wearing hat and sunglasses).
