this was so stupid, my IP address had changed and my site was down

I started to "repair" things at the wrong end and broke everything

my IP practically never changes but it can do that and that is what happened

now the site is there but it doesn't update timelines

there is a postgresql process going on writing buffers, whatever that means

the site could start working when that process completes, if not I have to start a new instance

this is how it goes when you are no engineer

Are you using a VPS or otherwise renting server time?

I run servers on Raspberry Pi's from my desk at home

it worked fine for years, now lately there has been but trouble

I had to get a new router and that was a pain to configure

I still don't manage it

there are others with similar plans

I asked him a couple of questions like why is it important to hide the home IP address but he didn't answer

I have an alt-account on freeatlantis.com

they don't ask you to subscribe to any predefined ideology, that was what I was looking for

I used that account for following people on Twitter
