I personally concluded that long term keto didn't work for me as well. Just by noticing the effects over time.

Ultimately I think any diet which becomes ideological isn't a good system. Humans used to eat locally and with the seasons.

Eat with the seasons and the sun. Carbs grow with the sun so summer is when I eat more of them. I tend more toward keto and fasting during the winter as my ancestors would've done. Keto is a hormetic stress on the body. Doing it 24/7/365 is an eating disorder, and this study tells us disordered eating is bad for humans.
