#[2] can you please help?

Try using Chrome or joining in on your computer πŸ’œ

Numerous amount of people have had problems with the same browser before πŸ€”

Vanadium is hardened chrome. i would never use chrome as it is google spyware. i also confirmed that DuckDuckGo's browser has the same issues

hope this helps with troubleshooting πŸ’œ

have you tried brave or kiwi?

I always have issues on my phone, using my laptop now

gtk thx paulo

When it pulls you on stage, try hitting volume up and see if your audio comes on. I've been having a weird auto-mute thing too

yes, thank you. i did that.

I had same issue on iOS, killed all audio second I was brought up to talk (but in audience audio ). Sorry for continuously pulling ya to stage to chat! I figured that’s what was going on, that audio cuts out once ya on stage!

Tips that worked for me (think I’ll do better write-up about this prior to next Ladies Wine 🍷 Night Nest cause so many ppl get these issues):

1) Try with different device (iOS, android, computer, etc).

2) Try with different browsers (safari iOS phone never works for me no matter what I do. But Firefox iOS phone will.. weird right?!). Chrome works well im told, but i refuse touch Google things, so can’t personally confirm). Brave, kiwi, etc

3) Disable browser ad blockers/pop up blockers, cause a pop up blocker will block the pop up which asks if you’ll β€œyes allow audio” in the browser

4) Clear browser cache/cookies. Saved cookies from being inside on the nest stage creates issues if ya β€œleave nest & then re-enter the nest”

5) After cache/cookies cleared. Close browser. Then reopen browser.

6) Check browser settings. If ya have audio disabled, switch to enable (turn on)

7) Some ppl (not my experience) say if ya have headphones plugged in while brought to stage that kills audio. Solution unplug & re-plug headphones, try doing this a few times, users say that will fix.

Hope this helps!

thanks! i won't touch chome either. thanks for pulling me on stage. it's unfortunate that after doing all of these troubleshooting steps the issue still persisted. hopefully these bugs will be worked out soon. it's much easier to join from my phone most times. DuckDuckGo browser was a no go so i'll test with another browser next time πŸ’œ

We’ll figure this out to get ya involved in chat! 🫢

*but in audience audio worked great

#[2] (Graphene support) may have tips too!

yes, thanks, but it's not only graphene users that have the issue. many non-graphene users have reported similar issues such as yourself with ios and safari. hopefully nests devs will work out the compatibility issues with other mobile browsers than chrome, until then it seems workarounds are are only option πŸ’œ

πŸ’― yes, agreed, that’s the difficult part. So many different devices & browsers.. that coupled with unique β€˜settings’ within each device/browser.

Believe (?) nests is forked project (might be wrong about this tho)

Nest creators are Derek & Semi

It's a known upstream issue with Jam Systems. Safari is a wildcard.

Has anyone built native iOS and Android clients for Jam Systems yet?

Not that I've seen. Jam has an API and react code examples. We also have enhanced this API with Nest names, active users, and soon npubs. Someone could build Nests into existing clients.

Yeah used the https://jam.systems/ site to host a test room with two Android devices one using stock on Chrome and Brave and myself using Vanadium with a JIT exception and mic permissions neither option worked for mic input even with the indicator showing audio being picked up. Both of us were audience and on stage.

Baffled.
