If i manually close a lightning channel on zeus i would need to wait 24 hours to receive the btc on-chain or that only happens if its forced closed

Usually it only takes 6-8 blocks with a cooperative close. Force closures can be weeks before the time lock expires

It's not a matter of hours in either case.
Force closes aren't cooperative, so they include a time lock (measured in blocks) for the other side to do something about it if you're pulling a scam.
Cooperative closes are when both sides are involved in the closing transaction, so you could get your funds as soon as the next block.
