In efforts to reduce waste in bitcoin mining, I will be recycling old and dated ASICs from previous generations into pieces of art. We should think of different ways to ♻️ our old mining rigs and gear :) If anyone is interested in some S9 custom art pieces send me a dm!

I mean if they still work. Are there any shit coins you can mine with them that you can exchange into bitcoin?

It’s all recyclable. There are people who make a living off of recycling electronics.

Art market won’t be big. Maybe in DC you can find some wasteful government program to pay you for it somehow? Maybe there’s a government subsidy for otherwise uneconomical power source install that can make them profitable again…I mean, isn’t that like half of Elon’s game? (Don’t hate me, hate the game)

You’re right there’s def something in DC but then again the way this area is anything in the dc govt has to get congressional approval also… You’re correct on ppl recycling them yes but i wanted to brainstorm other unique ways to recycle these old asics while keeping them looking cool. Conversation pieces perhaps, imagine walking in a coffee shop that has a painted asic on display, people would surely be curious about what an ASIC is or what it did before it became art.

Not arguing w you and I love your response :)

Maybe you can get a fine art grant :)

I think cool art would be awesome. But creativity is hard and probably couldn’t sell that many.
