they absolutely would pass on it unless they were starving to death from failed hunts, since pre-agricultural-revolution fruit was smaller, more bitter, and far more toxic. only reason modern fruit is so juicy and delicious is because humans intervened and hybridized the living hell out of all of it to please tastebuds >>> sell more product
