Who is going to built a non-custodial #Bitcoin tx protocol on top of SMS? Having transactional assurances in the unlikely event of an extended internet / grid outage would be massive in making the Network invincible. I would pay good Sats for this and it’s already been built out by an African company. We need to see this rolled out in the US and other countries.

I am all for a more robust network and fallback infrastructure, but SMS is not very secure. It's not encrypted and SIM swap attacks are common. Are there ways around those concerns?

I’m minimally tech savvy and know nothing about SMS so I have no good answers for you unfortunately.

I want to see some of the brightest in #Bitcoin work on this problem though. Huge market if they could build something secure and open source and it really would level up the Network’s resilience. No more grid / internet outage FUD and would make Bitcoin true apocalypse money.
