Curate who you follow. Nostr is a zero social algorithm protocol. And there’s more on Nostr if you look around. Plus it’s super early days. Numbers are relatively very small. With its key pairs and focus on decentralisation etc, Nostr naturally has attracted a significant number of bitcoiners and devs (perfect for your readership and increasing your engagement!) and they do have the loudest voices here but that’s ok; they built and are building most of it. If that’s too much noise for you, mute them, stop and look around otherwise you can miss the gems. As for “Likes”, my view on them has changed. They’re one of the core problematic “metrics” with social media, especially on a psychological level. They do not measure belonging or community or worth and fixating on them can reduce self-esteem and increase anxiety/stress. And if too much value is attributed to likes (which I think is the part of your original post that triggered some) it leads to fishing for them. So you might find more and more users disabling likes and enabling zaps only mode here.

Anyhow, just my two satoshis worth of feedback.

Right! I’m off out for a delicious and ice-cold Guinness! 🍻
