Is it an alternative app to Primal? I need to be able to tell my normie friends “download this” and it needs to work. Anything, as long as it just works. :)
That's the KYC, because of their partnership with Strike. This is one reason we recommend Rizful: https://docs.megalithic.me/using-rizful/your-first-steps-with-rizful
Discussion
I clicked your link and:
Step 1: Create an account.
I click a the button and it sends me to a new page and I click another button and it’s asking me for my email. Assume I’ve just downloaded Primal and made an account there and I’m a normie and don’t know all terminology. I just won’t. It doesn’t explain well what it is and what it does (in understandable language) and most people will just give up at this step.
thanks for your input, we really appreciate it..... this is the first thing people should see on the rizful home page... do you have any suggestions on how we could improve this?

They way I would approach this is I would play out the scenario in my head. We want this to be the new norm, almost everyone to use it. So I tell my friend “get on Primal, download the app”. I can’t tell him get on Nostr cause there is no app called Nostr on the App Store and if I start explaining the difference no one will listen.
So he opens your page and sees “free lightning address” which means nothing to him. This means something to the part of bitcoin users that are bitcoiners which is a fraction of a fraction of the people out there. My friend will ask me what does it mean. I’ll explain something like “this is a way for you to receive bitcoin on human readable address. No, you can’t receive emails on it. It does look like an email address, yes, but it isn’t one. No, you can’t use the gmail you already have. I don’t know why. Ask the guys on Primal.” Sorry, got sidetracked with the role play there. :D
Next he’ll read “Get zapped on Nostr”.
This is so niche, I don’t even know where to start. I guess I’ll say something like “this service/platform/app/browser add-on (still not sure what you guys do) allows you to like things on that new social network that’s being developed now. Posts there are censorship resistant and the likes pay a small amount of money and that’s censorship resistant too and it’s private and secure and all those good things that give bitcoin value. Unlike PayPal you don’t need to KYC to pay and get paid in bitcoin. That’s why it’s awesome. So on this social network you are free to express your true thoughts anonymously without worry of repressions for what you said being against the narrative.
To put it short the second row should read something like or have a small explanation under it saying:
Receive bitcoin when people like your posts.
Or receive sats. I know this should become the norm but most people know bitcoin and don’t know sats.
And so on. :)
I hope my feedback is helpful.
Ok, I set up my Primal app to work with your service. Your tutorial was well made and easy to follow. Good job there.
So from what I understand you are a Lightning Node host that supports this new standard NWC, that I haven’t heard of so far. I was a bitcoiner back in the days but my twitter got frozen because of posts related to the vaccine mandates and the trucker protests and then I stopped following the news. Also I got rekt trading my stack with leverage, against everyone’s and my own advice. So finally after a few years of suffering in shame I decided to come back and see what’s new. Stacked some sats last week. I have more than 0 sats again. :D And I’ll try to resist the urge to gamble it this time.
thanks for the suggestions, rolling this out now...
... any more suggestions?
The rest will take more effort from the whole space. Years ago I was playing with some shitcoin and some dapps (totally useless) and they had some standardised way to login to the app using your shitcoin wallet via the Ledger hardware device. The way you have sign in with Google and Apple and Facebook those guys had sign in with shitcoin X (imagine Solana or something like that). Getting a working Nostr front end with the ability to “zap” (the thing that makes it special, the sales pitch for switching from another platform) needs to be as easy as downloading a food delivery app. Imagine if there was an app for all food delivery services that is a basic front end and then you need to make an account on a website and copy paste a generated string to your mobile app to get all the functionality. Normies wouldn’t do it.
So in my humble opinion ideally you copy Primal and integrate Rizful in it and when I tell someone “get on Rizful” they search Rizful on the App Store and download the app and it just works. Or maybe make a deal with Primal to be their service provider. Those are the business paths I see.
But I might be full of shit, I’m just sharing what a normie like me thinks. And thank you for asking for my opinion. It feels good to be heard. :)
