There are some rings that can be opened and securely close them back.

Whaaat? I have seen only solid ones so far. Happy to learn something new.

Not for sex toys but you can cut the existing one and replace it.

I have few for sort of book binding, but I would argue they are too flimsy for sustaining heat of the action :)
