Taxes don't "fund the government".

In normie terms, all of the government expenses go on the credit card, and tax revenues are used to pay down the owed balance.

This arrangement grants the government practically unlimited spending power as they are no longer constrained by tax revenues.

Taxes only offset some of the debt, but they should be used to explicitly fund government.

1. Shut down the IRS

2. Rollout the #ERS

3. Implement fairtax.org

4. Transition to #Bitcoin as money

Make government literally work for it's money.

Taxes are way to control inflation by taking money back out of the economy ie from your hands so you don’t spend.

The deficit is funded by selling bonds and if no one is buying the bonds. We’ll just print the money.

Is that right essentially?

If I remember the MMT literature, that's how they view it.

Correct.

Taxes act more like a brake on inflation by attacking the purchasing power of citizens, purchasing power that would otherwise place (rightful) pressure on desirable goods and services.

They are used to draw down the debt, too.

Without taxes, inflation would "register" much quicker.

Well said!!!

Yes, make them actually work for it! Also, if they want more money, they can get some bitcoin miners and whatever they make is what they can spend.

The US Government is basically a crack head.

Why would anyone keep lending ? The amount is outrageous

Can the government of the United States really keep printing unlimited amounts of money out of thin air? ~Nayib Bukele

Totally agree but also, government on a bitcoin standard would be like "you really expect us to part with our precious sats just because the roads/schools/libraries/hospitals/prisons in your area are going to the dogs? Get your own bitcoin and take responsibility"... it would be like an inversion, government continues to exist through bitcoin but is more libertarian than the plebs.
