I grew up about an hour from what is considered the outer Cape. I never visited the outer Cape, because the inner Cape resembles the town I grew up in, and I didnāt understand the draw. It took me 45 years to get out there, but once I did, I fell in love.

I've been to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket a few times as well, but they are civilized compared to the out bank of the Cape. I agree that its fantastic. I don't know how it is now but in those days you could pull off the highway and set up your tent right on the beach no problems. Now there are probably tons of rules and regulations lol.
I know for a fact, there are beaches that people drive a camper on and stay. And Iām pretty sure as long as youāre not parked in somebodyās driveway, nobody would bother you if you did that. Whether or not, thereās any laws on the books that discouraged that. Iām not sure.
