What's a dry fast?

No food, no drink.

Oh. No drink? 👀

No Happy Hour ain’t good. That’s one fast I can’t do unless I’m fasting… 😎🍻

I would certainly enjoy a coffee rn ☕️

Ok I’m Intrigued ☺️ what’s dry fast? What does one have to do to follow? 😦

Dry fasting is no food and no water (or any drinks) for however long you can go. It’s done in many spiritual practices, typically for 24 hrs, but I am merely exploring it as a means to understand. The value and benefits (of fasting in general) are pretty good for cell regeneration, immunity, aging, and overall well being. I have never done a dry fast and I’m just warming into it to see how my body responds. If you’ve never done fasting, it is probably best to start with a water fast and ease into the time frame you’re comfortable with. I will warn you from my own experience, that too much water (without salt) can flush your kidneys and cause an increase in BP and could be risky. I learned this the hard way on a 4 day fast, I was drinking lots of water and nearly gave myself a stroke and had to do a hospital trip (lol in hindsight).

Oh yes I have read somewhere about this type of fast… more than anything I guess mind plays a big role in this and that is what we need to put it to test…

I have tried detoxing mind & body the hard way for like 10 days in a retreat, but what you are doing is toughest 🤗 Kudos to you though… I m sure you will excel 🫰🏻

Ohh I din know too much consumption of water leads to such incidents 🫣 Thank you for these important information and I hope you recovered great from your last adventure 🫠

Do keep me posted how you feel about it 🌸

Sending you energies to sustain 🧿💜
