I think that those with high meta-intelligence should channel their cognitive abilities toward clarity, simplicity, and coherence of thought instead of constructing intricate mental labyrinths that trap both themselves and others in useless complexity.

It’s a common trap: the more intelligence and knowledge one acquires, the greater the risk of spiraling into neuroticism. the priority then becomes learning to govern the mind before it turns against its master.

I concur. Intelligence can be a blessing and a curse.

I've come to conclusion that I'm an idiot savant.

Learning to sit in silence often has helped me immensly to channel my energy more effectively.

A lot of the research that ultimately is proving itself to be limiting or counterproductive was produced by highly intelligent people who took their rationalizations to unhealthy extremes. In their pursuit of intellectual precision, they often lost sight of practical wisdom and simplicity , creating frameworks that look elegant and sophisticated in theory but are paralyzing in practice

Agree 💯 based on some of the counterproductive paths I’ve wandered down (not that I’m intelligent), but would love to hear some examples of this to get a better sense of what you mean.

Totally agree. Like what even is meta-intelligence? Also labyrinths by definition are intricate :)

Sometimes I really go deep in some rabbit holes that get crazy abstract. Then I try to remind myself that it mostly doesn’t really matter and to ground myself back in reality. Like the pyramids conspiracy. Maybe it is aliens but I can’t know for sure and the answer doesn’t really matter. Whether the pyramids were built by aliens or humans won’t change how I live my life. I still have to work and pay bills and go to the gym. So I guess being more selective with where you focus your autism is important 🫡😂

It is said a lot that the less intelligent are happier, because they do not get caught in complexities, which comes from knowledge.
