Woke up today and decided to reconnect with a very close college friend from 15 years ago. Just sent a minor note, he responded enthusiastically, and we caught up on 15 years of life. Happily to see how much he has gained in terms of profession, family, and hobbies while ultimately being the same person he was back then. Amplified.

Amazing connection. Took a total of 30 minutes back and forth.

My suggestion today is to reach out with a random act of kindness, or a distant reconnection. A reconnection might even be more for your own sake than theirs, but it often benefits both.

Had such a reunion about 3 months ago. Was a blast

What prompted you to reach out to this person specifically?

Connection is what life is about.

I love the comments to this note. Examples of people reconnecting.

Love this message. We don’t know the effect of the ripples we start.

GM 😁

I had a similar experience with the lead singer of my former metal band 2 months ago. After 10 years with nearly no contact he visited me spontaneously on my country estate. We had a long, great and hearty conversation. 🍷🌌

The day after he was orange pilled and had his first 100k sats. 👍🥳 tbc

sounds like a great orange pilling evening 😅

Love this, I recently caught up on 3 years of life with a friend and we spoke on the phone 9 hours! How did you manage to do catch up on 15 years in 30 mins 😄

Great advice. Always glad when I do it.

I did that with a friend from 30 years ago. We met up at a Starbucks 🤮 in Alberta. I told him I moved to El Salvador , he asked why and I cautiously explained. It got all awkward and he thinks I’m crazy and we probably won’t ever speak again. I don’t give a shit.

Once upon a time I wrote a "randon act of kindess" request for a conversation on my (Bitcoin) show to a Mrs. Lyn Alden, but still waiting for at least 3 or 4 years. What is an adequate time to wait for any kind of response ? 😅

A couple of thanksgivings ago (I’m from Canada) I set a goal to reach out and say thank you to 100 people that impacted my life. What an experience… I connected with teachers, friends, old bosses, CEO’s, an author whose book made a difference for me… etc!

Such a great experience!
