When I talk with anyone that shows interest in "bitcoin" I approach it knowing they are being bombarded with scams.

I liken it to an ocean full of boats... and they all have leaks but one... the bitcoin boat. Is the newb going to waste time researching the vast sea of sinking ships or seek out the noah's ark of life boats... it simplifies the decision and focuses them on the positive, winning solution.

Have them download a wallet and send them some bitcoin... and the seed is planted.
