Why is nobody talking about the current (51+ %) monopoly on bitcoin mining? Both Antpool and Foundry USA have well over 51% of the current Bitcoin hash rate. This is a terrible situation and a potential danger to the #Bitcoin ecosystem. While everyone is stressing out of those silly JPG images, this is the bigger problem and could easily be fixed by those running mining hardware. Just point those miners to a different pool! In addition, both pools require AML/KYC 🤮 on their clients, something that should not be accepted. #Bitcoin #mining #urgent

Doesn't help that the one pool that had a big chance to big some of that hashing power (Ocean) launched to very mixed views with very controversial views.

Really unfortunate - The idea of a decentralised pool was/is very desired. Supposedly, more tools will give miners more control soon, but still.

Because it doesn't matter

Actually it does. It's unhealthy for the ecosystem and especially because it can easily be avoided.

The thing is ppl know they know and they still point it to that pool. Ppl will never learn.. fiat is why they pointing it there. Wanting and needing the money. But its the ppl to make these pools smaller but they not gonna listen till one pool actually destroyers something then they will be like wow Martijn was right
