Today's Pantry Moneysaver DIY.

Schmaltz. 😋 It's the best cooking grease for pan-frying eggs and fowl, IMO, but it is pricey.

I don't add the onion and it stays good in the fridge for ages.

Chicken thighs with skin are cheap, easiest to skin before cooking, and so full of yummy fat. Duck is really nice for this too. I keep a bag of bits in the freezer until it's time to make a new batch.

I find it goes bad faster than tallow or lard so I keep it in the freezer in small, enable containers

I must use a lot of fats in my cooking, lol. Nothing ever has time to go bad
