A dead one hopefully.

It wasn’t in this picture (in a ziplock bag), but it is now!

According to the internet it's a Pacific Coast tick Dermacentor occidentalis

How the hell did it get to Wisconsin?

What species, tho? Doesn’t looked like a dog tick, which is more common here. Deer ticks are much smaller.

I believe you are right. Looks the part, common in my area, and we had a mild winter, so it’s going to be a tick-filled summer.
