If it helps miners pay the bills. Cool.

I’m a little worried how fast my 1TB SSD will fill up. And will I need to upgrade soon to keep up.

Or I don’t understand how this works and it doesn’t really affect nodes.

Still a couple years out for that I think. It's actually pretty incredible it's still under 1TB. It'll only become more trivial thanks to Moore's Law.
