When #ETH bros first got into the space and saw bitcoin they thought “I cant afford a whole one of those what else is there?”

Then they stumbled upon eth and got scammed into buying it by people who continuously say buzzwords like Defi, NFT, utility…

Just admit u got scammed

no, when I first got into the space I was looking to create a decentralized name register and was working on namecoin for awhile, but then I need access control for the said names. While threshold signatures are one way to do this I found EVM based smart contracts to be more suitable and flexible.

If u came in looking for decentralization on eth… I’ve got news for u

do you think DNS or ENS is more decentralized? Or do you have another alternative naming system you can propose?

Decentralization is not a scale. It either is or it isn’t. Eth isn’t. But most #Defi bros don’t understand this yet

right.. And How would you define decentralization? And why can't you describe how a naming system on top of bitcoin would work?

A protocol without an oligopoly or a small group of insiders who can make or change rules. DAO hack showed a group of insiders in ETH can change rules on their protocol if the insiders don’t agree with something that has happened on their chain
