nobody has yet got diff update messages yet either, even though these are universally used throughout the rest of social media (editing posts/messages)

the two things are slightly orthogonal, essentially replacement is what a delete does, and the replacement is "ephemeral", whereas an edit does not replace it should be joined with the original it modifies (and this group would need to be replaceable as a group)
