I have gotten the flu shot every year of my life, but after the debacle with the COVID-19 vaccine, I’m nervous about doing so.
I probably will get it, but I feel uneasy about it this time.

Please. Think VERY carefully before you take another shot of any kind. I was never an antivaxxer until a few years ago, for much the same reasons you are hesitant now. I will never willingly take another vaccine as long as I live.
Flu shots don't prevent anything. Take the time to do some reading or listening. I recommend this book.
