‘Taiwan is part of China’ can be understood in two ways:

1. Taiwan currently belongs to China

2. Taiwan should join China

Ambiguity from Chinese imperialists is intentional, because wide acceptance of false claim (1) will make (2) easier to achieve — even as Taiwanese say ‘No’. #Taiwan #China
