Is LNbeats a walled garden?
Discussion
No, it pulls all available music feeds from the Podcast index
It also has a sister site musicsideproject.com that helps you build your feed to host on the server of your choosing. And doesn’t take 10% for the Big Guy.
It walls out Wavlake music at the touch of a button so… 🤷♀️ pot kettle

Pretty cool 👍
That is cool 😎
I’ve said it before and I will say it again. I want all the songs to play on all the apps.
It’s the only way to appeal to fans as we bring them in.
If you want all the songs to play in all the apps then lobby Wavlake to allow WL users to listen to https://podcastindex.org/podcast/6644810 and other such songs
Because right now in the WL app they can't.
#wavlake
This is not a fair comment. The DeMu button is just a filter that is controlled by the listener.
It's no different than saying "Show me me only metal music" (I wish we had this feature)
WL imposes their filter without any user control. They say "If it's not hosted on our platform they you can NOT see it in our app"
Protocols over platforms!
WL is a one way semi walled garden. I can see in but those inside cannot see out.
I don't think that WL are bad people I just don't like they way they do things. There are more freedom oriented options out there.
