“Making it” is not all you think it will be. Having a calm and stable life is not all you think it will be. Your soul longs for something deeper.

I think of it similarly to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. As your financial standing begins to solidify your ability to secure the base of the pyramid, it allows you to take on stress in a different way.
The issue I think you are driving towards is that without purpose, financial stability will still feel empty and meaningless.
