I was telling my uncle about my goal to do 100 pushups a day (hey, I do it…sometimes!) and he cautioned me that if I do pushups, I should also do rowing, or lift weights while bent over. He claims that his doing just 100 pushups a day without also rowing caused an imbalance that led to a rotator cuff industry.

#100adaytil100k gang, got advice?

how do i invest in the rotator cuff industry?

Yeah too many push-ups for me resulted in shoulder pain. I'm old tho.

I don't think its necessary, but if you have it in your bag of tricks and do it occasionally, your body will tell you if you need to do more of it.

I would think if you listen to your body and don't over do it you will be fine. If you feel sore (not the good building muscle sore) to take a break until you recover.

Maybe doing incline, regular, and decline push ups will change the angle enough to help

Smart man. Need to balance push muscles with their opposite pull muscles.

Get a Total Gym. It’s an amazing piece of exercise equipment for the average person. You’ll be able to keep your muscles balanced and increase your range of motion safely. Sometimes you can find entry level models pretty cheap at big box stores. I did that and leveled up because I liked it and the company so much.
