Hard to tell from the angle. Is there a hood over the eyes like in this pic? In most cases I can tell straight away from a common watersnake and a cotton mouth but in this case I just can't. Maybe Jack can tell...https://www.critterriddertx.com/texas-water-moccasin/

I’d say the body was similar in size to the head, which might indicate a water snake. Just sprayed it with the hose to get it away from kids areas. Fun stuff!

I can't tell exactly what he is, looks like some form or water snake, Green or Plain Belly but the shot of the head isn't great so I can't be sure. Only critter that would even look like that at all that is venomous is a cotton mouth. Their heads are VERY distinctive. See this. https://www.thesurvivalpodcast.com/5-most-common

I am 95% that is NOT a cottonmouth but won't say that 100% from this image across the interwebs. The pattern on the body is not quite consistent with any of the most likely. Honestly the pattern on the body is more bull/king looking but not aware of any with that dark a pattern in your area.

I dont think this is a cotton mouth, but my philosophy is watch them from a safe distance, regardlesss....

Our cotton mouths here in FL are relatively short & thick. not like this here...

this looks more like the black racers we have here. long & slender. y'all have racers there?

For sure, hose distance was plenty close for me. Not sure if we have racers here. A lot of water snakes.
