Approximately 5 to 9 more days until I play around with lightning to get it set up, and see if I like it, or if it's worth it.

Trying Self-Hosted solutions first, if those options are problematic then I'm moving to custodial, if custodial doesn't work I'll stick with on-chain.

I tried some LSP-based wallets (Zeus in particular), plus played with some self-hosting before I gave up and moved to custodial. I've been happy with https://coinos.io thanks to its Nostr Wallet Connect support. If you play around with self-hosting, I'd love to hear the results!

PhoenixD is easy to use and self-custodial. Needs a server to host it. Can be expensive (0.4% default fees) but good channel liquidity.

They have Bolt12 and BIP353 DNS addresses. You might not find full compatibility for Bolt12 on Nostr yet, though.

I'm thinking of checking out Zeus first but I'll check this out if Zeus doesn't work out.

Also curious about CoinOS since it has all the bitcoin things supposedly, lightning, e-cash, cashu, liquid, etc.

But I'm just going to check out lightning first (self-hosted) then explore everything else at a later time.
