Most people will not read the White Paper.

My argument is not that "don't trust verify" is not a better alternative to the Bitkey. My argument that trusting the Bitkey has less counterparty risk than ETF's or bitcoin backed securities.

That's fair I suppose 🤔

I’ll add my dumbass opinion and say that my wife can easily send a transaction with a Bitkey (obviously not a perfect device in many ways).

She looks at me like I’m a mad scientist/wizard when we walk through broadcasting a multisig transaction using other signing devices. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Have you done that multisig workflow with SeedSigner & SeedQRs?

We’ve played with SeedSigner. It’s a really good option. Not much I haven’t gotten my hands on at this point.

Youve setup a multisig with seedQR?

Have not.

Reading through it now. I see more playing around about to happen. I’ve got a Passport Prime set to arrive some point in the near future as well (or so Foundation would have me believe 😂).

It's superior to everything else.

Print the templates and use bluewallet to take it for a test-drive.

I'd also recommend printing the Bip39 word list to make the seeds by mixing it up and pulling the words randomly as you mix & write em down.

Then use the SeedSigner to obtain the 12th or 24th word(s).

Once you have this setup you'll see the power of this method & why its going to be the future & standard of multisig.

You also won't be locked in to just using the SeedSigner if you want to diversify your device quorum - Foundation Passport & Blockstream Jade have already adopted the standard.

I just saw the blockstream setup. Not a company I’ve messed with yet. I’ll wait on the Passport and have a play.

You don't need either, just the SeedSigner.

I actually think a SeedSigner only multisig is the way for most people.

You can store 3seeds at once & sign away.

Re:

Scan 3 seedQRs and sign the TX you created on bluewallet.

This UX is incredible and takes a few minutes only.

Unrelated, but I always come back around to this thought and can’t find anything.. physical token for gifting bitcoin that’s not an opendime. Seems like a missed opportunity for unique gifting. Maybe I’m just missing the obvious solution. 🤷🏼‍♂️

It's totally related.

I created a wallet, made a seedQR, sent Bitcoin to it & gave it to a friend as a gift.

I told him I could always steal his coins in this wallet and that he should create his own, I included a blank seedQR card & told him to build a SeedSigner or buy a device that supports seedQR.

Education & a gift in one.

I don’t hate this at all. The final step being to present the QR as a coin or something tangible beside the seedQR template card.

.. Or print the QR as the “tails” side of a standard bitcoin coin. This would be a cool gift.

DIY for obvious reasons. The coin case for retail.

I’ve arrived at the “is it possible” to stamp this QR into steel phase of this rabbit hole. Thanks. 😂

👀

Came across these as well. Have you used one successfully?

Oh yeah, works great.

and with that seal of approval.. getting some on the way.

You'll need a good center punch! 💗🤟🧡
