Are there any issues with changing spil hydrology? I've heard of land slips caused by swales.

It's generally encouraged to immediately plant shrubs and trees to avoid that.
Also, it's not wise to dig swales on steeper slopes.
The swales I dug are only 12-18in deep. Very shallow. No concerns of slipping for me.
+ the root structure of the trees and grass around your swales for natural foundation 🤔
Furthermore I think you should count with directionality of your water. This includes the vertical direction of absorbtion rate.
I was truly impressed by your "symbiotical landscaping", swales being only part of your watermanagement. 🫡
So impressed I was flabbergasted and I only now realize I didn't take any pictures at all 🤣
