Maybe you have seen things with only physical eyes and physical vision, not spiritual eyes....or maybe you just need to ask God to send you a zap, no pun intended. But in my experience if you dont seek, you dont find, but if you seek you shall find, to those who knock, it shall be opened. Just ask for a word or a sign, irrefutable evidence of his presence...and you will see it, so clearly that it will be undeniably a sign from God, then the more you seek, the more you find. However, if you close your heart and close your mind, you won't find but words, words, words.
what I learned is, I was brainwashed by my parents to pray as a child and when I prayed nothing happened. Eventually as I got older I un-brainwashed myself and realized if you tell a child to pray all their life they grow up doing that action out of a habit without understanding the action or religion. Billions of people are brainwashed in my opinion and I haven't really seen any evidence that praying does anything. As well from my experience a lot of religious people are quite brainwashed and closed minded.
Try talking to them about flat earth and they will get upset and defensive because it clearly states that the earth is flat and non moving and that the creator built this non moving world just for us so there is no need for another universe, planets or aliens.
How is it possible that billions of religious people got brainwashed into believing the heliocentric model? If so that means billions of people also got brainwashed into believing that praying or that a feeling in their body means it's a god talking to them.
I am not convinced.
Maybe you didnt see or feel anything while praying because you didnt do it with intention, only with repetition. Or if you did maybe it just wasn't something that was meant to happen.
Reality take a lot of faith to believe in.
Our entire physical structure is pretty flimsy as it is and yet we still have faith that the next moment will follow and we will continue to live.
All in life requires faith. You simply choose what you want to believe in based on experience and critical thinking.
I have had my experiences that have proved in my reality that God is real, that prayer does work. You will live in the reality you believe to be truth until your paradigm is changed and then a new outlook will surge that will change your reality. This is the process of growth and evolution, of awakening and awareness.
