New Pipe has been broken for a while now and I haven't found a workaround or an alternative that works

Libretube. Better in a lot of ways. Mostly a more modern UI. https://github.com/libre-tube/LibreTube also available in F-Droid. Hope this is what you meant by New Pipe 😄
