does twitter even allow you to do a fulltext search within people you follow? we'll be able to do this on damus ios soon. do any other nostr clients support that?

Yeah. On gossip, local search came before search on relays. Local search searches all notes and profiles, and gives a combination of people and notes as a result.

There's also quotes for specifics, and there's AND and OR you can include, and you can also exclude stuff or users too.
There's also search by minimum like or reposts, filter by media too.
