"But it takes little effort to replicate that content on Nostr for censorship insurance."

This one is baffling to me, especially with respect to simple posts which are essentially just a few sentences and maybe a URL. No way they're THAT busy, they can't take five seconds to copy and paste the contents of their tweet into their Nostr client.

Not even that! You can automate it. No need to manually copy-paste.

I don't think that is the issue... the mental block is a different one.

I've spoken to a couple big content creators about it... they just don't want to spend the mental energy of learning a new social. They don't get the value.

I think that the real reason is that there are 100s of social media platforms and they don't believe that Nostr is different.

What they really don't have time for is to study ALL of them and learn that Nostr is something else.

Making the pitch is one thing. Making them understand is something else entirely!

It does not help that 'protocol' sounds alien to most people. 'Uncensorable' sounds like it might be about gambling or porn. 'Micropayments' reminds people of scammy in-app purchases and DLCs...

I think the sales pitch has to be different. Perhaps for creators it's more about "own your content" and for users about "control your feed" than about other issues that bitcoiners care about...
