Leave the people alone!

Outrageous.

Damn. And I thought excessive unwarranted orange pilling was a bit intense…

Pretty wild but "isolated peoples" always makes me think of the Fermi Paradox. Are we the isolated people here on earth? What gives one the right to forbid others the contact? Maybe some isolated peoples want to remain isolated but probably not all members of those peoples want that. What about that who want to know what's out there? What's with their rights?

I guess people who want to know what's out there can just go out there and see. That's how freedom work, not getting unasked proselytism in your land/home.

Agree.

nostr:npub1gm7tuvr9atc6u7q3gevjfeyfyvmrlul4y67k7u7hcxztz67ceexs078rf6 I strongly assume that the people wanted to be left alone and that’s the reason why they are being protected.

Except they wanted to keep the device(s).

Can they though? Just like we don't know how to reach the stars, individuals in those peoples wouldn't know how to survive reaching us or what to expect.

Couldn’t the same argument be made against your proselytizing for Bitcoin? Shouldn’t indigenous people’s be left with their local currencies? How dare you bring Western technology to these people! Leave them alone!

Talk about hypocrisy…

I am not planting secret devices on people. Your comparison is stupid.

They are not ā€œplanting secret devices.ā€ What are you talking about? šŸ˜‚ These aren’t spy gadgets. The devices play audio recordings of the Bible and sermons. There is nothing secret about it (aside perhaps from people smuggling these devices in to the people). They are using these devices because the Brazilian government will not let them physically contact these people.

My comparison is spot on. You hold an ideology that Bitcoin is better money than local government currencies (and I agree with you), so you are going and trying to convert people into using Bitcoin as money because you believe it will help them. That’s fine and even perhaps noble.

These Christian missionaries believe that the Bible and its teachings will bring truth and freedom to the people they are contacting. They earnestly believe these people will be blessed by what they are doing as much as you believe Bitcoin will help the people you are working with.

You are a Bitcoin missionary who is spreading a Western ideology (Bitcoin) yet upset that Christian missionaries are attempting to spread another Western ideology you don’t agree with. That is hypocrisy. If it is wrong for these people to contact so called ā€œindigenous peoplesā€ with the Bible, then it is equally wrong for you to spread your ideology to people whose ancestors would have been called ā€œindigenous peoplesā€ just 50-100 years ago as well.

It might be hypocrisy but the ones wasting time with fairy tales are certainly annoying.

Wild.

Leftist hypocrisy is hilarious.

Anita travels around Africa proselytizing for Bitcoin but she’s offended that Christian missionaries are contacting people in Brazil with the Bible.
