Apparently "agile aerospace" has been a thing for a while and it's kicking butt. Why build a big expensive satellite when you can constantly launch tiny disposable satellites that are getting better each iteration? Taking a picture of the entire surface of the Earth every day is an incredible tool for humanity. The problem is that this imagery data is prohibitively expensive for individuals to access. Could miniature satellite technology become so accessible that "run your own satellite" is as common as "run your own node"?

Start setting up your Railgun mini satellite launching service now.

That’s a cool idea

meanwhile, new neighbors be like:

this is the lengths sum have to go to avoid cams!

Not sure I will be able to I see this…

WTH he doing?!

i believe its a form of milking stimulation. dont quote me on it.

"clean" "water"

oh my... good morning.

Good luck building boosters and comms on the DiY satellite to take evasive action to avoid the thousands and soon hundreds of thousands of others in LEO

cams can be prohibitive also/choices

I want my own own fleet of robot astroid miners that I control from my desk.

Possibly.

But I think it would become a matter who how (whom) will get the sats into space.

Sort of like gold rush times, everyone will want to have a sat…but it will be those that launch the sats (the pick and shovel and bluejean sellers) that make the money
