I was able to take advantage of the somewhat low fees today and consolidate all my UTXOs from my cold storage. I had so many that my hardware wallet wouldn't do it all in one go, so I had to break it up into three separate transactions 🤣
I'm going to maintain this a bit better going forward.

I consolidated before the fee spike with 50+ UTXOs but that looks like a new level 🤣
There were 248 in total. When the fees spiked up to 500+ sats/vb, it was gonna cost a fortune. I think I'll batch up my smaller transactions in a hot wallet first before I send to cold for now on.
I’m implementing that practice too. The goal is to use a hot wallet or lightning for anything less than 10M sats, and then batch those payments into 1 UTXO whenever it crosses the threshold.

Yeah, but I had to break it down into chunks
Batch #1 from cold -> hot wallet
Batch #2 from cold -> hot wallet
Batch #3 from cold -> hot wallet
Then I sent everything back to cold
hot wallet -> cold
So now I only have 1 UTXO at the moment in cold storage.
why did you had to batch?
Because my hardware wallet failed and said that the transaction was too big and it couldn't send it all in one transaction.
I have an air gaped wallet, so it had to create a QR code for each utxo. I had to wait for it to scan about 500 QR codes in total (-250 on the device then another -‐250 on my phone).
