I disagree terrifs can work you have to apply them properly. An trump is a man with many masters so no way he is going to get that job done. He isn't going to be able to apply them objectively with so masters. So, nope terrifs won't work this time. Isn't terrifs cant work ever.

Work at what? The question here is not wether it can work or not. Their goal is to bring back product at home. Artificially creating a market with tariffs will, eventually, do it and essentially "work". But the question is wether or not this is good.
Well, people getting jobs is a good thing net net. I truly believe that as much as it's all an economic experiment we can move things around so it's good for the working class. I mean like you basically pointed out what's the goal. Jobs that's easy. Trade balance meh above my pay grade. Our job is mostly to adapt to this. For good or bad it's what we have to do.
