this is still the best method we have for choosing which relays to use.

Same day a talented developer will build this out in a real world application / game to help users pick relays and it will be all over Nostr.

Relays are Nostrโ€™s biggest current UX hurdle.

Absolutely. They're kind of a black whole. It could be much, much better.

I can't believe I missed this note ๐Ÿ˜…

A classic.

On a more serious note, I think it's more important to pick relays run by people you "know" rather than whatever is faster at the moment.

That's why I picked relays run by nostr:npub1ktt8phjnkfmfrsxrgqpztdjuxk3x6psf80xyray0l3c7pyrln49qhkyhz0 nostr:npub12262qa4uhw7u8gdwlgmntqtv7aye8vdcmvszkqwgs0zchel6mz7s6cgrkj and nostr:npub1gnwpctdec0aa00hfy4lvadftu08ccs9677mr73h9ddv2zvw8fu9smmerrq

Sometimes relays ran by your friends aren't good relays though ๐Ÿฅน but generally, I would agree.

I was just thinking I need to thin my relay list (up to 21 currently). Going to have to try this method. ๐Ÿ”ฅ
