😆 That makes things hard. I try to not focus on food but I also have to plan to break it. I find ending a fast with shitty food to be deeply disappointing.
It's very easy for me to rationalise ending the fast at around day 4/5 & hard to justify continuing. I think you need a very compelling reason to overcome that hump.
Agreed 3-5 days I think is ideal. I also plan to do this at least every six months and I’m adding two more fasting routines: intermittent fasting with an 8 hour eating window and a 36 hour fast once per week
On the next long fast I’m prepping with a very good meal before starting it and when finishing it

It's good for the Will, likely good for your body & it shows you that you're more resilient than you were led to believe.
It's nice to be reminded of that.
