The typically scheduled panikhída service was cancelled this year because of a Russian pre-Lenten festival at the neighbor church today. They often celebrate together on festivals even though they are on differing calendars lol. I love how Orthodoxy grows a communal culture. Everywhere they go, they create this village cohesiveness that I always longed for but could only find in harvest moon games.
