I’m a bit farther north but in the market for a boat for some blue water cruising next couple years ⛵️

Go small. Go simple. Go now. If you wait until you’re ready, you’ll never go. There is no such thing as a perfect boat. Buy the smallest boat you can comfort live on. LOA means how much the marina will charge. You dont need all the fancy electronics. You need a compass, paper charts, and a working VHF. Navionics on an iPad will work great in place of a chart plotter. Get a boat that’s good enough that’s ready to sail and, upstage it with what you want as you go along. Feel free to reach out to me with any question you have. If you’re in the north east U.S., let’s link up and go sailing!
Nothing will make you feel more alive than 20knots of wind on the bow and 3m of swell, in the pissing rain in the North Atlantic.
