昨日は NostrAsia の感想を書きましたが、今日は Bitcoin Tokyo の BUIDL Day について書きたいと思います。

Yesterday I gave my impressions about Nostrasia. Today I'd like to focus on BUIDL day for Bitcoin Tokyo. I have been wanting to visit Tokyo Bitcoin Base since it opened earlier this year - and it has the best first impression, with the Satoshi statue out front!
The interior is very nicely done, with four floors - two of which were used for presentations and one for a networking event after the presentations. As it's mostly a vertical space, and the number of participants that could attend each presentation was limited to 50-70. It felt more like a meetup to me, which made me feel quite comfortable during my panel.
I enjoyed discussing open source grants with Calvin and Seed. I hope the audience took something away from our conversation. I sat in on several other panels, and was surprised that there was a presentation on Silent Payments - something that we're very excited about at OpenSats. I also enjoyed the discussion on why UI/UX is hard to get right and the example of how iconic the mempool blockchain has become.
I had the opportunity to talk to many people - RockStarDev, Luke, Stephan, the Plan B crew and many others! Koji and Teruko gave me some great feedback on why we don't see many OpenSats applicants from Japan (and Korea and Taiwan and many other nearby countries) and some ideas on how to move forward. These conversations alone were worth the trip for me.
The professionalism and friendliness of the staff was apparent - I thought it was a well run event. Unfortunately I was not able to make the main conference day, so I hope everyone enjoyed it!
