Wrong. They literally post their buys and their cost basis.

If they hold bitcoin on behalf of the public, they should show proof of reserves.

This is one feature which makes bitcoin better than gold.

We should be using it.

Lots of fake bitcoin out there…

Bryan has just purchased another 3 Bitcoin at a purchase price of 58k and now holds 420 bitcoins.

Do you believe me?

If so, and I am allowing a custodian to secure my bitcoin, do you believe they have put an extra 3 into my “account?”

In short, there are only 21 million Bitcoin, UNLESS 1000s of people unknowingly have multiple claims on the same coins due to FRAUD.
