In the end this is quite possibly true. But we are alive now. If you think Michael Saylor's only asset is ₿itcoin, you would be mistaken. Nothing wrong with diversification of hard assets. Rotating gold to ₿itcoin is also not a bad idea sometimes.
That happens when we get #AGI agents .. they would transact in #sats .. may be a dynamic pricing based on the average transaction fee of the last block mined .. thought ?

I don't think so. Firstly, I'm not sure AGI is achievable. There is no evidence to suggest it is. Today's LLMs are not in the same realm as AGI. AGI is not just the next step of LLM. It's not like the LLMs will get smart enough to be agi. It's a completely different concept. One I'm not sure mortals possess the ability to achieve.
Secondly, the chat of compute will always continue to tend to zero. I don't see a works where I'm trading hard money for compute. I will spend my hard money on something to do the compute myself.
I can go in more depth on why I'm confident AGI won't happen, but this thread with Will helped cover a lot of ground.
There's a metaphysical argument forming for me about the tendency toward the AGI archetype culmination of Nature over time... but let's not go there now 😅🤪

Everyone has their own definition of AGI .. mine is just two things ..
- Someone that controls their communication
- And the value exchange - means it is selfish about what it earned !

No... They are not artificial. They have innate intelligence. Not viruses though. Virus is not alive. Bacteria are though.

Intelligence is a spectrum on anything living. Bacteria are the lowest on the spectrum. Single cell organism. But it is an organism. Viruses are not alive. Bacteria can live independently. A virus requires a host to reproduce. Anything that's alive, has some level of intelligence. We cannot create life from nothing. We are not God. We can clone, we can reproduce, but we cannot take things that are not alive and make them living by throwing enough compute at it. We can only ever make a good copycat.
